During the Fourteenth Annual Meeting of the Italian Association for the Study of the Peripheral Nervous System, held in Trieste from 30 May to 1 June 2024, Cristina Meregalli was awarded the prestigious AINP (Italian Association of Peripheral Neuropathies) ONLUS 2024 Award for her great commitment in research on peripheral neuropathies.

The prize was awarded for the scientific contribution, entitled: “Proteasome inhibitors-based chemotherapy induced neurotoxicity: focus on cytoskeletal and mitochondrial dysfunction”, a project financed in the “Biomedical research conducted by young researchers” call of the Cariplo Foundation

Special thanks were expressed to the scientific board of the congress, to Prof. Guido Cavaletti and to all the collaborators of the ENU (Experimental Neurology Unit) group, for their precious support and collaboration.

This recognition represents an important milestone in research on peripheral neuropathies and demonstrates the constant commitment to improving the understanding and treatment of these pathologies.
