Born in 1992, she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Genoa and a Master’s in Biology applied to biomedical research from the University of Milan. She completed her PhD in Translational Medicine in 2023, with a focus on microglial lipid metabolism in demyelinating diseases. After completing a postdoctoral fellowship at the San Raffaele Scientific Institute, where she investigated ER stress pathways in Charcot-Marie-Tooth models, she joined the University of Milano-Bicocca as a postdoctoral researcher. Her current work concentrates on chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy, with a specific focus on aberrant angiogenesis in the peripheral nervous system. She uses advanced ex vivo and in vitro models, molecular biology techniques, and synchrotron-based imaging to explore neurovascular dysfunction and its role in chronic pain.
